Internal and external links checked
The SE Marketing link check spider visits your web site either monthly or on request. The spider checks and verifies the integrity of your sites internal links including images, FTP and dynamic pages plus external links and then provides you with a simple report by e-mail with full details of broken links found. The report can also be copied to your web designer.

• Source Page - the web page that the broken link is on e.g. http://www.se-marketing.co.uk/index.html
• Line Number - identifying the line number that you will find the broken link href on e.g. 150
• Broken Link - the broken link href or src e.g. http://www.se-marketing.co.uk/sale.html
• Problem Description - the reason why the link failed to work e.g. Link was not found : Code '404' or Error downloading link : The current connection has timed out. (10060) (Failed All 3 Attempts)

Fixing broken links

Internal links - The way to fix a broken link will depend on the problem description reported. If the problem is related to pages or graphic files on your site, then it might be as easy as opening the source page, going to the line number and correcting the broken link by either removing the link or editing the link reference.

External links - The link checking spider also checks links that are external to your site, for example if one of your web pages includes a link to www.siderealsolutions.com/prices.html and the page either does not exist or the domain is no working then our advice is to remove the link.
